The below are general tips designed to assist you when planning to travel. Carry only those things that you absolutely need.

Baggage recommendations
  1.  Airline Regulations permit you to carry only 2 bags per person (depending on your destination and airline policy)
  2. Check in bag with a maximum weight of 20 kgs (subject to airline policy) and a hand bag with a maximum weight of 7 kgs with dimensions not exceeding 115 cms (subject to airline policy)
  3. Carry bags with wheels and sturdy handles, preferably a stroller, which is convenient to carry and pull along
  4. Label your bags with your name, address and telephone numbers. Also note its make/brand, this is useful to trace your bag at the time of baggage claim. Ensure that your check in bags are locked.
  5. Do not put any cash, jewellery or expensive items in your check in bag. In fact we suggest not to carry valuables on tour
  6. We advise you to travel as light as possible, as carrying heavy luggage can be very inconvenient
Things not to carry in hand baggage
  1. Knives, scissors, razors, nail cutters, batteries etc
  2. Liquids, aerosol sprays and gels
  3. Cigarette lighters and metallic objects (eg safety pins)
  4. Perishable food items and vegetables not allowed when travelling to countries like Australia and New Zealand
Clothing & footwear
  1. Comfortable casual clothes like jeans/trousers, shirts, T-shirts, and Salwar Kameez are the best options during the day.
  2. We recommend you carry a dark pair of trousers or denims, which are not only easy to mix and match, but also easy to maintain
  3. Depending on the country and the weather at the time of travel, it is advisable to carry warm clothing like thermal wear, jackets, sweaters, hand gloves, rainwear etc
  4. If you are visiting a beach or are going to undertake water sports activities, do not forget to pack your swim suits and appropriate footwear like floaters and flip flops
  5. Special Events, Gala dinners, Casinos, certain restaurants or tourist attractions ( eg Paradis Latin in Paris have a dress code (formal attire) to be followed. It is advisable to carry a set of formal clothes and footwear
  6. Carry a comfortable pair of footwear, preferably walking shoes
Medications / first aid kit
  1. Remember to carry your required medicines with prescription
  2. Carry medicines for altitude sickness when travelling to high altitude destinations
  3. Do not forget to pack any specific allergy medication that you may need
Personal care
  1. Bath & Shower Products
  2. Sun cream lotions and moisturizers
  3. Toothbrush / Toothpaste & Dental Products
  4. Wet wipes & Tissues
  5. Hand Sanitizers
  6. Perfumes or Deodorants
  7. All liquids, gels, deodorant sprays etc above 100 ml should be in your checked in baggage only
  8. Remember to carry only travel sized sachets of all essential toiletries instead of carrying big bottles

  1. Camera/ Video camera with extra memory cards/ film rolls & batteries
  2. Mobile Phone Charger and local country SIM cards
  3. Universal/ Multipurpose Adaptor
  4. Small Flashlight
  5. Music Player with headphones
Foreign exchange
  1. We suggest you to carry sufficient foreign currency, for your personal expense and shopping purpose while on holiday
  2. As per current RBI rules, you can purchase a total of USD 10000 as Basic Travel Quota per person in a year
  3. Only USD 3000 can be carried as currency notes and the balance has to be carried in the form of Prepaid Forex cards or Foreign Currency travelers cheque
Travel insurance
  1. Travel Insurance is a cover for the risks you might face in your trip
  2. Insurance is compulsory in all European countries. Our Group tours to Europe include basic travel insurance for the duration of the tour upto 59 years of age
  3. It is highly recommended to purchase Travel Insurance whether you are travelling in India or abroad, since it provides you and your family medical & financial assistance in case of an emergency while travelling
  4. Please get in touch with our travel consultant who will assist you with selecting a suitable travel insurance
Once you arrive at the airport
  1. Report at least 4 hours prior to departure for World Tours and 2 hours prior to departure for Indian Tours
  2. If travelling by our Group Tour, then kindly reach the designated airport reporting point at the indicated time
  3. Proceed to the entry gate of the Departure Terminal. Each airport has different departure terminals for different flights, ensure that you arrive at the correct departure terminal
  4. You will be required to show your passport and e-ticket to gain entry into the departure terminal. For Domestic travel, photo Id is necessary for each and every member travelling
  5. Get your check in bags screened (X-rayed) before you proceed to check in at the airline counter
  6. At the airline counter, present your passport and ticket to airline staff and put the bags you to want to check in on the weighing scale
  7. Once your bags are tagged, the airline staff will return your passport, ticket and boarding card along with embarkation card
Immigration's, customs & security check
  1. Fill the embarkation card and proceed to the immigration counter
  2. Present your passport, boarding card along with the embarkation card. The immigration officer will keep the embarkation card and return your passport and boarding card
  3. Please proceed for the security check , keep your passport and boarding card handy
  4. After security check is done, proceed to your boarding gate and wait for your flight boarding announcement
  5. On some airports, there may be no announcements. We advice you to reach the correct boarding gate well in time

Passport And Visa

PASSPORT

Passport is an official document issued by the government, identifying an individual granting him/her permission to travel abroad and identifying his/her citizenship.

  1. It is the most important travel document needed for any travel outside India.
  2. A passport is the most essential travel document on your holiday
  3. Every individual member of your family travelling on the holiday will require a valid passport
  4. The passport should be valid for at least 6 months for all countries ( 9 months for Malaysia), from the proposed date of return from travel
  5. The passport should have sufficient number of blank pages for the visas to be stamped/ stickered on your passport
  6. For Europe and Malaysia visas are not issued on Passports having validity beyond 10 years
  7. The passport is a legal document issued by the Government of India. Kindly handle your passport carefully as a damaged passport is not acceptable by the consulates/embassies or even the emigration officers at the airport.

VISAS: Visitors Intending to Stay Aboard

A VISA is a vital requirement for any travel outside India and needs to be applied in the country of residence sufficiently in advance.

  1. A visa generally gives non- citizens clearance to enter a country and to remain there within specified constraints, such as a time frame for entry, a time limit on the time spent in the country and prohibition against employment
  2. There are different types of VISAS like Tourist Visas, Transit Visas, Business Visas, Student Visas, Work Visas etc, so it is very important to obtain the appropriate visa for your intended travel. All information provided below is with respect to Tourist Visas
  3. To proceed on a holiday, you will require several tourist visas depending on the countries to be visited. Our travel consultant will advise and assist you in applying the necessary Visas
  4. Visas can be single-entry which means the visa is canceled as soon as the holder leaves the country; double-entry, or multiple-entry which permits double or multiple entries into the country with the same visa.
  5. The Visa is generally stamped or stickered in the passport itself. However a few countries (eg Singapore, Australia) have started issuing E-VISAS. An E-VISA is a separate document not attached to the passport, make sure that you carry a copy of the E-VISA along with your passport at the time of travel
  6. For UK, USA visa submission personal presence is a must. For UK you will need to schedule one appointment for submission and biometric (digital fingerprinting). For US you will need to schedule two appointments, one for Visa Application Center and one for the visa interview at the Embassy or Consulate.
  7. Some countries like Ireland or Mexico will grant you entry in their country if you have a vaild UK or US Visa respectively. Please get in touch with our travel consultant for further details on the same
  8. A few countries require you to obtain Transit Visa for passing through their country to a destination outside that country or even passing through their airport. A Transit Visa can be issued for several hours or upto a certain number of days depending on the particular transit itinerary.
  9. For certain countries like Thailand, Mauritius, Hong Kong, Maldives etc Visa can be obtained on arrival. Some Visas may be free on arrival and some have to be paid on arrival. Kindly check with our Travel Consultant for the same
  10. It is advisable to apply for VISA sufficiently well in advance with all the necessary documents. This will enable smooth and easy processing of your Visa
General Documents Required to Apply For a Visa
  1. Original passport with minimum validity of 6 months for all countries (Malaysia will require 9 months) from the date of return from travel and sufficient number of blank pages
  2. Only passports with maximum 10 year validity are acceptable. If you have an old passport with validity beyond 10 years, kindly get the same re-issued before applying for a visa. Old passport to be attached
  3. Visa forms duly filled and signed by each applicant. For minors, thumb impression of the minor and parent’s signature are required on the visa form
  4. Latest coloured photographs with a white background as per specifications given to you by our travel consultant depending on the destination of travel
  5. Personal covering letters addressed to the respective Embassies/Consulates by the head of the family. If the guest is self-employed, then the covering letter should be on a business letter head and a visiting card should also be provided
  6. Original leave authorization from the employer of the applicant on the employer letterhead for employed applicants/ NOC for Government Employees
Financial / professional documents as required by embassies / consulates
  1. Last 3 years Income Tax Papers
  2. 6 months bank statement with bank stamps and seal
  3. Salary Slips for the last 6 months
  4. Documents of assets and investments (FD, NSC, PPF, Property papers, Mutual fund statements etc)
  5. Shop Act, license, Memorandum of Association, Partnership deed for business or self-employed individuals
Other supporting documents
  1. Honeymooners : Notarized NOC from brides parents (parent’s signature proof), Original marriage cards from both the parties and marriage photographs.
  2. Minors: Children under 18 years of age travelling without one or both parents or without legal guardian must provide a notarized authorization for travel signed by both
    parents /by the parent/ or legal guardian
  3. Students : Bonafide certificate from educational institution and ID copy/School calendar copy

General Documents Required to Apply For a Visa

Visa Documentation
On booking the tour, our travel advisor will guide you about all visa formalities as per the consulate. Kindly submit complete visa documents as per submission timeline given by the Travel Advisor. Some consulates may call you for a personal interview.

Changes in pre-defined tour programme

Kindly intimate the booking person in advance for any amendment in tour programme so that the necessary arrangements can be made. As per the amendments, additional charges would be applicable.

Cancellation

In case due to unavoidable circumstances you need to cancel the tour, kindly give an application in writing. Cancellation charges will be applicable as per the cancellation policy and the no. of days left for the tour departure. The fewer the no. of days, higher will be the cancellation charges.

Bank details for Payment

Payments can be made through local ‘Account payee’ cheques, Demand Drafts or by Cash at any of our Branch offices / Preferred Sales Partners.
Overwriting on Cheques is not allowed as per RBI rule.
PAN details will be required in case of cash payment in accordance with prevailing Income Tax rules

Kindly note that Outstation cheque is not acceptable.
Guests who are unable to visit our offices for Booking, can deposit local clearing cheques in any of the below Bank Accounts or can make payment Online through Net Banking.
Also, after making the transfer, intimate the same to us by sending scanned copy/screenshot of bank slip and personal details.
Note: Cash deposit is not allowed in any of the accounts.
